In keeping with the GCA goals to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement, the Santa Fe Garden Club, from its beginning, has been involved with numerous community projects.

These have included:

• Planting, tending and re-designing of the Courtyard Garden at the New Mexico Museum of Art
• Planting a pollinator garden as an Olmsted Project at the Amelia White Garden on the Old Santa Fe Trail, a park that has been adopted by the SFGC when we restored the central courtyard of the garden.
• Financial contributions to the Santa Fe Botanical Garden
• “Flowers for Flora” a project that purchased planters for the Burro Alley sculpture.
• Support for the Valles Caldera Trust
• Involvement in the Santa Fe River maintenance, the SFGC has adopted a section of the river through the Santa Fe Watershed Association
• Support of the aquaponics and greenhouse projects at the Santa Fe Community College
• Providing financial contributions to several conservation groups including the Santa Fe Conservation Trust, the NM Environmental Law Center, Forestry Program at Highlands University, Wildlife Center in Espanola and LightHawk.
